Hi,

I have been given a tool box as part of a family friend who has passed away, he used to work on series land rovers but part of the tool I have been passed on are a green military box with the attatched tools in it. Is this part of a military Land Rover tool kit does anyone know?

Also not seen some of these tools before, anyone know what the black pliers are, not sure what the addition price in the middle is for?

If this is part of a set does anyone have a list of what tool should be in there to complete it as the chances are I will have been given the other tools.

All military tools and containers will have the crow foot stamped. Also labelled NATO code 1234 99 6789101 and nomenclature tool box spanner. Worth a look for the crow foot. That looks like a detachment toolkit in monkey types so not to lose and replenish quickly.
When I was a yoof in the RAF at Kinloss I would make up the detachment kit for each aircraft ground crew as Nimrod first line supplier.

Local purchase items did not have the broad arrow, but most anything else did.
That said, I still have a King Dick ⅞" podger that was stores issue and no broad arrow, but that kit shown in the pics doesn't look like anything that would have been Pusser's issue.

True a few from the images looked LPO. Normally the military frowned on the stuff by having a huff, that's why an officer or two helped. If an LPO become a certified use the procurement team looks at the main supplier for batch ordering.
At Kinloss the Nimrod's was each supplied a major internal adaption.
A fitted tin opener 🤣

On a side note, we used to score or electric tape on the detachment tools to denote separate pack. Our lot was very particular, when signing off the tools used incase of loss or damages cause by. Back tracking details on the mechanic electrician technician avionics forms down to the storeman issuing. I guess the same for the navy aircraft carrier crew was the same.

That's a Supplementary Tool Box, or "Tiffy Box". I was always told if you have a VM Basic Box and a Tiffy Box you have all the tools you need to strip a Landy down to component parts... in theory.
I think I still have the contents list on my work laptop, I'll have a look later and let you know. At a glance you're missing 4 sizes of nut splitter, the impact driver, bits for said driver, the Big AJ, files, and some screw drivers. Most notably Big Red.
