Evening all,

im having my defender challenge truck resprayed soon and can decide on a colours, i would want a coulour that will go with my black roll cage, challenge wings and cross member.

I spent alot of money on it to make it look nice to was thinking a colour like G4 Orange or Lime green to make it stand out form the crowd,

In my completely humble and very badly formed opinion....:

Lime green is awful. Just look at lime green defenders on Google images and you'll see what I mean. You won't stand out from the crowd, you'd be a part of it. And it's not a good crowd.

For the best look, and I've been researching this for a while, it has to be black for roll cage, chassis, grill, light surrounds, bumper, wheel arches, maybe wheels, against a very light colour (not lime green), such as white (looks great even though I hate white) or like a sage green or something.

Personally I'm going for Atlantic Green, as per 'Heritage edition defender 90' against black wheels, bumpers, etc etc. Nice. Or not as you may think.

Red on black lots good too....

thanks for the reply, yer i like the Atlantic Green, but was not going to go for a metallic paint due to the cost. and a non metallic paint cant be repaired more easily i have been told don't know if this is true.

actually not metalic, like this one:

If you want to make sure your truck is guaranteed to look good I think the best thing you can do is paint it in any colour you like, as long as at some point in the past it was a genuine Land Rover colour. There are a few to choose from. No one will think you're an idiot for painting it a standard colour. Bearing in mind this also includes G4 orange and NAS yellow....bold colours, but standard, look good
