I,m fitting a v8 3.5 apparently from an sd1( but i don't know for sure) into my 90 .
The question being on pumbing it up i noticed a small pipe from the inlet manifold in the middle.(just below and in the middle of the su's)Where's that supposed to go? Can i pumb it into the return pipe on the res bottle it's the same size could just tee it then.It tastes of antifreeze so i assume it's for heated manifold.

I am about to put some pics up of the engine on my rrc with su's it might help you!

see my thread on "antifreeze and mystery engine"

Yes, that should be ok, although from memory, it should go to a stub pipe on the radiator. The key point is that the pipe from the top of the manifold is the highest point on the engine so when liquid is flowing from there, after a few runs, it means that any airlocks should be gone.

Looking forward to pics of Fetts motor:)

Cheers

Thanks for the help. Had a look at a 101 today the bloke was nice enough to let me look at the engine. He's like you say went to the top of the rad.Seeing that the pipe from the res bottle go's to that a tee should be ok.Really i could do with 2 small outlets on mi rad.
It's hard work when you havn't got a mate with a v8 to compare.:)
