Hello every1,

While the Range Rover Vogue has gone for full respray, I want to make it look newer. So I just seen this picture online and then noticed that the lights are 06-09 and bumper/grill is 10-12. I have attracted photo.

Is this possible? Can I put 06-09 lights with the 2010 bumper and grill. Will this be even harder than the standard 2010 facelift. I can get the wiring adapters for the 06-09 lights.

Is it as simple and cutting wing and wiring up 2006 lights and just put the grill in. Then fitting 2010 bumper bar and then bumper.

Happy New Year!

i had to look twice at your photo to double check what i was actually looking at.

definitely looks like the later 2010 bumper and grille with the earlier 2006 lights.

never even thought that the two could be used together, though upon looking closer at the two types of headlights, the shape looks very similar so they may just be interchangeable.

who knows, it might work? give it a go ?

although why would you want the later bumper but not the later headlights ??

the main reason I facelifted mine was mainly just so i could get those amazing LED headlights, the bumpers are hardly different really.

I was quite surprised to see the combination in the picture too.

Main reason I don't want newer lights are due to the hassle of wiring modifications. Everyone is saying the 2010 facelift is too much work. The only option I would have if I want to do the 2010 facelift is paying a company £3500 to do it. Unless someone can sell me very detailed instructions on how to do it.

I want it to look newer at a cheaper cost as I am not 100% that I will be keeping the Range Rover for a long time.

I have attached a picture of another Range Rover. My one will be exactly the same once it's back from spray booth. I don't mind facelifting after respray as I think I will only have to spray bumper and grill.

if the job aint done properly then it will just look like an underpigeon

old lights wont make the car look any younger will it ?

same as you will need the rear lights done after to match

i first thought the 2010 was a pain too, so i done the 2006 facelift instead...

but i couldn't resist in the end, took the plunge !

Hehehehe Underpigeoned. I hope if doesn't turn out to look like the underpigeoned P38 with grill sticking out.

Right, I will be doing the 2006 lights and later bumper/grill facelift and when I find LED lights, I will have them put them in.

2010 Bumper goes straight on doesn't it once 2010 bumper bar is fitted? Any modifications needed to fit bumper other than changing bar?

What do you think?

A decent 2010 conversion will add value to the resale of the car when you come to sell it

Plus you get a wicked looking motor for a fraction of the cost ;)

LED headlights? Surely you mean HID eous??

Dear LZers, need a bit of advice. What do i need to convert my 1909 Model T Ford into a Sierra Cosworth and do you think this upgrade is possible. I know that the Model T is worth £100,000.00 and a good Cosworth is worth £15,000 but i am totally ****ed off with the Actylene headlamps. Hope you can help.
Signed stupid upgrading and make my car worth less for no reason pratt.
