Just got a call from the Son and he asked for my assistance in recovering his Disco 1 from where it died last winter. We don't have a large enough vehicle to tow the 30 ft. trailer we have available to us, so may have to flat tow it out. It's got an automatic tranny.

Can it be done??

Been there, done that without any issues, 200 miles in five or so hours and nonstop once we were on the M4 motorway, that's back in the early 90s my RR towing another one which was also auto :D

Now days we would use one of vehicle recovery service once on the highway :D

Thanks for the info! It wasn't what I had planned on doing today, but it will get me into the mountains. :)

Are you using or is there even a possibility of using a solid towbar?

I assume you are, as towing 2 tons of Landry without power steering or power brakes is going to be interesting!
