Usually it is just the little lamps behind the display on the P38 - on the L322 it is the LCD connections that go U/S

I had the same issue on my L322 and the whole unit had to be replaced, wasnt cheap either. They can be repaired which mine was originally but it started playing up again a few weeks later

I did not think they had bulbs thought it was like a LCD screen in green easy to take out about four screws and ignition cover once dash facia off a small multi plug to the right i cant remember seeing bulbs only dash warning bulbs .

The P38 is a backlit panel using little bulbs...

The L322 uses a side/top/bottom (not sure where they are locataed) illuminated LCD screen.

Nice pic yes three bulbs to Illuminate but not for the hundreds of digital messages ie pixels
Oh no not the pixels no....

Usually on the P38 if the pixels are faded or the display is completly missing, it is the bulbs at fault....

If the odd pixel here and there are missing, that means a new display is req.

Sorry Def. seems like we were talking cross purposes!!

FFS! Whether it's back lit wiv little bulbs, an LCD, LED or any other screen, pixals or pixels............

If it int working could it possibly be the power lead??

Hell lets get radical it might even be fused or not earthed proper

Anyone??

Very first problem on mine was the display disappeared - duhh until i found the dimmer switch - suppose it's called a "dimwit":D

Later i've changed out the bulbs as i bought a whole set
