Camshaft Replacement Guide

Hi Everyone,

The time has come to replace my camshaft and followers. I will also do the timing chain at the same time.

It looks fairly straightforward, famous last words, but I would be grateful if anyone knows of a simple to follow online guide at all. If it is specific to a Disco then even better. Just so I can check everything involved before I dive right in. I have searched quite a bit but haven't come any how to guide yet.

How many hours roughly will it take from start to finish. I am assuming something like 10-12 hours? Does that sound about right?

When a main dealer replaced my RRCs cam etc it took them over a day to do the job.

It was about Mark Evans building a 100" v8 LR

If you aren't sure, get an independant lr garage to do it and watch and learn
It'll be cheaper in the long run
