So I’m still trying to get my TD4 to start (cranking only, see other recent thread with data)…
Question; would a duff cam shaft sensor allow crank but prevent ignition completely? (Tries to fire on easy start but will not run at all).
I’ve just seen something on you tube back-probing the loom and the sensor. The vid shows ~12v between yellow and brown wires, then dropping to between 4 and 8v as the engine is cranked over.
Mine shows 12v on the loom direct when unplugged, but only 0.6 when plugged in and back-probed, dropping to 0.2’ish when cranking???
Duff sensor? Could it prevent ignition? Any way to bypass it, to rule in/out without getting a new one?
