Hi,

Now my D1 has sadly gone I'm thinking of "trading up" to a TDV8 3.6 L322 probably around an '08 and have been looking around for buyers guides and specialist dealers but I seem to be drawing a bit of a blank on both. I know they don't command quite the same passion as the Defender and therefore there is less forum action but I was hoping to track down some buyers guides on what to look out for, model changes, build quality changes and so on. I know what I'm looking for spec wise but don't want to end up buying a dog just because it looks good and has the right spec.

I'm also struggling to find specialist dealers who will have good quality stock that I can have confidence in. My price point is well outside LR dealerships' interest and everything else seems to be being sold by just general supermarket type sellers who have them alongside Ford Ka's and MPVs and therefore I'm reluctant to rely on their "expert opinion" on a car.

Does anyone know either of a good place to get info or genuine specialist sellers who I can have faith in?

I really hate pointing people to other forums but in the interest of helpfullness take a gander at www.fullfatrr.co.uk they have a buyers guide and are clued up on the leter L322 models.

Can you link to it? I've had a poke around there and not come across one.
I find myself in the same position currently. My P38 appears to have disappeared (been at the garage for 2 months now having been off the road for the past year with various problems), so I'm seriously thinking about replacing my daily Bimmer with a TDV8...
Just got to convince the other half...
