Evening,

I've bought a bull bar from a fellow LZer and need to arrange a courier, does anyone know roughly the dimensions and approximate weight so I can fill in the couriers form please?

By no means does this have to be dead on, its just ball park figures.

Thanks.

A broad brush on diamensions Lee would be.... the width of a D1 plus 6 or 8 inches for each side rap around plus for the center height... top of bonnet to below bumper and the weight... heavy... Well the last one lifted was maybe 20-25kg comparing it to a bit like a suitcase I take on holiday. :D

Still depends on how much of it has rotted off. Only way to be sure is have him send it out to you and measure it :D
Or you could get all of us to go out of our way to tell you when you're ALREADY GIVING THE DUDE MONEY FOR IT WHAT IN THE ACTUAL MOTHER LOVING FUDGE SUNDAE ;)

FFS vin, there's always one :D I was trying not to hassle him out of courtesy as he wanted local pickup, I was hoping a more techy member may be able to quote rough figures to me but looks like I'll have to get my tape measure out :D

Cheers Pete, a pleasure as always buddy :)

BTW I'm only paying £50 for it so I thought he'd done me enough of a favor already :)

Has anyone actually ever had any need of a Bull Bar? My Defender came with one. I have removed it as my Defender is in for a respray. I was surprised just how heavy the Bull bar is. I'm wandering if I should put it back on or not. I've had my Defender for about 5 to 6 years and never needed it. I live in the French countryside where we do have wild Dear and boars. I don't think having a Bull bar would stop much damage caused by hitting either a Dear or Boar.
What's everyone else's view on them.?

Mines because I use my landy for off roading and whilst strictly not a necessity will definitely give me more confidence pushing through thick brush, it'll prob save me a few indicators and headlamps (snapped the brackets not broke the glass). toyed with the idea of the light guards but wanted something more substantial. HD rear bumper next, will save me losing my corner caps :)
