Afternoon all,

when I stick the windscreen unit back on to the bulk head after I do some welding and repairing the rust, am I best using a good dose of windscreen sealant in top and bottom of the seal for when its all tighten up its more likely to be water tight

Thanks

That is what I did.
Cheers

The passenger side is quite bad, I have treated the rust inside, going to spray a load of cavity wax in and weld on some new meal on the interior side of the bulk head and seal it back up.

Still quite solid in years to come It will the corner replacement panel fitted but for now if I can treat it and seal it up properly its got plenty of life left in it.

Im sure I have some of the black windscreen sealant tubes lying around.

Thanks :)

Good idea to put plenty of preservative in there after welding. Once a year I remove the top hinge screw,a windsreen bracket bolt and the two rubber grommets for left hand wipers and squirt in spray grease.
