Hi All, been a while.
I have been fixing up my 2002 4.6 V8 Vogue.
While fixing the blend motors I took the dash out.
When I replaced the dash top I have noticed the bukhead/windscreen VIN plate is missing.
Previous owner had a new windscreen fitted and I am thinking it got cut off when windscreen was cut out.
Can you buy a new VIN plate.
VIN is present on the slam panel and on the chassis leg.

Blend motors are working and I have NO book sign - for now!!
Oh and don't plug the blend motors in before fitting them - how do I know? mmmmm
Thanks.

Unless it's dropped into the dash area at some point in the repair?
Good question tho, would it fail the MoT if not present?

Don't think its a fail for MOT. Do they even check in the UK? they do here.
From the UK gov site.
"Vehicles may have the VIN displayed in more than one location, but only one VIN is required to be complete and legible."

Resale maybe different for an eagle eyed buyer.

Hi Mark, I checked every where, the car was so cheap I did not even check, I checked it was on the slam panel and thats it!
Passed MOT with no issues or advisories - which surprised me.
I am not overly worried.
Going to double check the chassis leg this evening.
