Leaking Windscreen 2004 Disco Td5

Morning all,

My new to me Discovery 2 has water coming in at the top right and is wetting the headliner and dripping onto my right leg when it rains.

It also has a tiny bit of rust all the way along the top of the windscreen rubber.

- Firstly is there an easy way to cure the rust issue
- secondly what do i need to do to stop the water from coming in?

Sun roofs are tight and no leaks

Hi. Check out the attachment, neglect tha NAS and VIN things, it can happen to all of them...

if it's not that use this LEAK CURE along the top of the windscreen seal

Captain Tollys creeping crack cure
Sunroof drains
Roof bar mounting bolts

To cure the rust you need the screen cutting out.
Remove all paint and sealer on the roof until you get to clean metal. Treat it, prime it, seal and paint.

Gutters along the length of the roof, mine leaked through that gutter putty just past the rear passenger door but would travel along & enter by the 'A' pillar.

A pic of the brittle/cracked putty on mine. Water was travelling along the inner gutter & exiting where the paper towel, note LR's lump of putty at the top of the A pillar . As said roof bar gaskets.
