I have a new painted bulkhead and I want to paint it for my 90 before fitting, question is what do I need to do?

aye... reet, I know that bit, what kinna paint? Do I not need cellulose paint and primers and things?

Aye - I did one side with and one side without.
The "with" side was dry in about 2 hrs
The "without" side was still tacky the next morning, although it did dry next day and is a bit shinier.
Aye, when ah tried it without the hardeners it still wasn't dry after 2 days!!! Ah really should've got the rubbin' compound on tae it tae make it showroom like, but then thought that it'd be too much cleanin' afterwards tae keep it that way;) :D

Second hand bukhead, media blasted back to bare, high zinc primer couple good coats, light grey high build primer 3 coats, 3 coats stonechip on footwell outers, matt white 1 coat, 4 coats specialist high gloss, teflon, anti-infra-red red 2-pack paint... how I dun mine.

Oh and chlorinated rubber paint on inner footwells, and more wax than madame tussauds in the box sections.

Bit of luck that'll keep the rust at bay.

Feck me it's bright - almost TOO white.

Ok guys thanks for all the information - I will have a look for synthetic, stone chip for the outer footwells sounds good, and rubber paint on the inside.

I agree with you grunt, underseal would do, but I would like it to be white - mind you its going to be brown no doubt within a month of having done it.
