Im just hoping I can change the rocker shaft and hey presto but I suppose it will be like everything else it will lead to something else

Yeah well AA computer said standard 'we are busy so expect collection no earlier than 12.30'

FFS but I guess that's an LZIR case closed, broken rocker shaft and thread stripped in hole.

Will update when on lorry, obvs pics will be provided!

ffs sam i know its no good to you now but change to green flag, you would be home now. As you know ive been recovered once or twice and never waited more than an hour for recovery

12:30 that quick im impressed! I obanded mine yesterday with the bottom lip out and steam coming out my ears after discovering a snapped rocker shaft ( I had my 2 year old son in the car who was extremely tired and as you can imagine he wasn't impressed sitting in the car while I was under the bonnet)

Well Sam at least you'll get home at some time this weekend lol, was good chatting on phone pity it couldn't be fix at scene, at least you'll be saving on fuel on the way back

how useless is that? the 2 most common sizes i have found is a long reach 10mm & long reach 13mm socket.and 4 & 6 "" extension bars.

Lol good luck with that time eta, I work for the Mansfield group as a tech, last job I did was an AA job and was only about an hour late

Well I was quite lucky to be honest I was 5 minutes away from my house so walked home left my landy and asked my next door neighbour who runs a recovery business who recovered me on his flat bed for free (well a pint).
At least your not freezing ya nips off now. Coffee machine in garage?

could be worse you could get recovered just by weston super mare turn off buy honiton recovery, the driver then puts 24 volts threw the caravan lights. drops you off on hard shoulder to wait for second recovery wagon, because 1st hasn't got a trailer board.So car has been loaded of loaded from on wagon to wait another to be loaded on 2nd recovery wagon, to be taken home ( m5 down to one lane from clevedon). Got home stressed wanting to kill the next person that said hi, kids happy happy happy they went in two break down trucks, can we do this on our next holiday. AT THIS POINT I GAVE UP !!!!!!!!!

It could be even worse, you could shatter a swivel ball slap bang in the middle of the Sahara Desert at 4pm on a Friday afternoon with the nearest point of help being a 7hr off road drive away.

I feel that breakdown is gonna take some beating...
