Have a mate who ordered a service kit for a tdci and all went well except when trying to start up, it ran a few seconds then stopped. It would not start again until eventually refitting the old filter.

It appears there is a lack of "notches" on the top of the britpart filter, and it seemed a little loose when fitted.

So, wondering if anyone else has had issues with these?

Cheers in advance.

Pete.

Mmmm, thats a thought. Seemed to run fine after refitting the old one?

It did run for a while with the ****part though:eek:

Have just googled fitting a puma fuel filter. and Apparently theres no way to prime the filter after it's fitted, short of forcing compressed air into fueltank  Peeps seem to prefill the filter with diesel and then rev like fook until the air bleeds thru. That or take it to dealer who have special pump to prime system with :(

I had mine done at the local independent who were nowhere near as expensive as the stealers, they didn't seem to have any trouble.
