Breathers on my V8

Hi,

What are those 2 breathers on my Hurricane (1986, 90 V8) exactly doining?
I'm busy installing an original air-filter instead of the K&N's. Got 2
Stromberg Carbs.

Now those breathers aren't connected, but according the manuals I have to
connect them now!

I've got no clue!

PS: a Hurricane is an ex-proto for the Dutch Marine, only 12 were made.
Order was cancelled, and they were sold to the common market. You'll never
find one in Billingham!!!

Ive seen a blue one in Kent!
