breather pipe

hi all
had a recon turbo fitted and when i got the car home i found a pipe in the back of the car can someone tell me where it goes.......also any ideas as to why my battery is draining in a couple of hours

Yes, definately the breather pipe from the top of the IRD. Awkward to get at :eek:
The clip with the hole attaches to the plastic duct from the MAF/Air filter box to the Turbo.
There is a threaded brass insert (M6) moulded into the duct housing at the top. You will see it if you remove the top rear plastic cover....the one over the air filter.
Personally, I would take the car back to them and get them to put it back on F.O.C.

Regarding the battery, it could be a duff battery or something draining it. Get your radio security code first then put a multi meter, set at Amps, in series with the positive lead on the battery. With everything switched off you should not be reading many, if any Amps. If it is, it could be the alternator, if not, pull every fuse out one at a time until the multi meter is not reading any current...this will pinpoint the area that is causing the drain, long winded process !!!
