Dear All don't know if any of you have experienced this. but here goes. My brakes failed spectacularly last week, the lines from front to rear and the feeds to the rear wheels suddenly became open to the elements. This led to another problem, the fluid within...... fell out. By this time I was thinking that the dash lights looked very pretty, and must mean something..... They did! The traffic in front of me had stopped the large peddle went straight to the floor, and the car was not slowing down. My arse immediately grew teeth and gripped the seat, I would have to use the pavement. Thankfully the traffic began to move and I was able to get the car to Fortune 4x4 in Basildon. These nice chaps said that the fuel tank would have to come out, and it is a long and expensive job, the teeth in my arse changed to something different.

But wait said the nice chaps in the garage, we have been looking at a flexible pipe, which would mean we don't have to take the tank out, that would save some wedge. The deal was done, now when I press the large peddle the car stops, this I must say give a far far more relaxing journey and one I can highly recommend.
the end.

Terrible feeling when the pedal goes to the floor and nowt happens. Must have been your lucky day mate. Glad you got it sorted:)

did you not deploy the 'emergency in the event of squidgy brake pedal onboard parachute'

or as i know it, first gear and handbrake jammed on, although handbrake on p38's are really a breach of the trade discriptions act!!!

failing that just close yer eyes!!!

lucky day my misses brakes failed the other day. but then they started to work again. some sort of intermittent fault. which is not what you want on your brakes.
