Brakes when on full lock

Hi all I wonder if you would be able to help. When I am at slow speed and on full lock in fwd and revs I have noticed that my freelander is applying the brakes quite hard. And one ever heard of this before?? Appreciate any comments left.

I think you need to do a search for vcu problems and have a good read.....i think you may find that its the vcu on the drivetrain coming to the end of its life and needs sorting quick or it may take your diff/ird with it .
When i bought my td4 if i put it on full lock either fwd or rev it felt like the brakes were being applied , its nothing to do with the brakes but the vcu locking up the transmission , any way before i bought the f/l i made sure the vcu had been changed , drove it agai on full lock and it was free and easy to drive.
Hope this helps but read up on the vcu problems before its too late.

They do "brake" a little but if it's a lot, see above.
