Hi all,
Changed the front discs on my Td5 a few months ago to cure the judder that appeared through the steering. Ok I thought these things happen etc.
I put it down to the fact I had towed a 2.5t trailer 200 miles and the over-run brakes were probably out of adjustment. I recently got back from a 1500 mile round trip towing the same loaded trailer and bugger me if the new discs havent gone the same way. Are the discs on these prone to warping or have I just been unlucky / bought crap discs. They were IIRC in what looked like unipart boxes though I could be wrong.
I will look at the hubs/bearings and steering damper at the weekend but tbh it only happens under braking and magnifies with speed.
Are there any companies that do an upgrade kit? I'm thinking of putting some ducting in to cool the discs, as I dont want to be changing discs every 5 minutes - I tow the trailer quite a bit!

On another note, on the 1500 mile trip the disco returned 15mpg...
all in weight I'd guess around 5t - would that be about right on economy?
Sat at between 60 - 70 mph for 12hrs constant with no problems!!
