hi all, the warning light has been flickering on my 1984 range rover for the last couple of weeks.today ive taken a look at it and as the brake pads were getting low ive changed both front and rears. ive also emptied and refilled the fluid. the light is still flickering and the brakes feel even worse now! i bled the system with an ezibleed kit and appeared to get all the air out,any ideas what i may have done wrong or should i suspect servo or master cylinder?

cheers discool, pads are new and fluids full now so ill check the handbake switch next. but the actual brakes dont feel that good?

the new pads will take a few miles to bed in , could take up to 200 miles depends on how and where you drive , to be safe bleed them again the old fashioned way , 2people , pipe and jam jar and take you time , it's a big system on the classic

Those eezibleeds are great if you're billy no mates but you can't beat seeing what is actually coming out and the pressure it's coming out at when the pedal is pushed. If all else fails you could even ask the wife to push the pedal!!

I have an eszibleed but it kept blowing it's top off i've now found out to use 10psi no 20 as per the instructions it's now back in the box on the shelf :).

Anyway it was back to the one man kit, a jar and a tube with the ball bearing in the end as a valve, it has aways worked for me, it's not problem after pressing the pedal six or so times to top up the master cylinder and no need to close the nipple while the pedal is floored.

So another vote for jam jar and plastic tube :)
