hi all,
ok i need to pick someones or a few peoples brains? im looking at picking up a standard non modded 300tdi in january but i wanted some general opinions on what to do with it as a basic setup for an off road/road useable disco???
im already planning to upgrade the shocks, springs and give it a 2" lift, a safari snorkel and some new rubber, cut the valence off the front and put a steering rack guard on, but just curious if this would be a good idea or if anyone has any better ideas??? all help would be gratefully recieved

dont bother with any of that - just fit a set of AT tyres, fit breather extensions and wade plugs. Thats all yu need.

Steering guard and removing front valance is a good idea. as Is snorkel. I wouldn't bother with a lift unless you're planning on fitting huge wheels on it.

thanks for the sound advice guys, all my experience is with MOD defenders, so was a bit unsure but all of the above suggestions i can do on the drive so makes life easier,
not sure how to go about breather extensions though? so may come back for advice on that. and does anyone know if all land rover wade plugs are the same? if so i have those already lol

Axle Breathers are easily replaced. I bought this kit off ebay, ignore the price they have made a mistake, it should be £14.99 not £149.99

It was a good quality kit and took me 20 mins on the drive to remove my existing breathers and fit the new one.
