boot leak

right really getting ****ed with this boot leak now about a month and half ago took the carpet out stopped the leak job done left the carpet out until Wednesday just gone and not a single drop of water


gone out to it today after 2 days of rain and its soaked again
yet when the carpet comes out and rains its bone dry

maybe the carpet is acting like a moisture trap?? and drawing water into itself?

matt, where did you find your original leak ? i have found two ways where water gets in ,the roof, and the door seal

well after days i have found a few leaks have come back from previous places the botom half the door seal has gone again

no worries bit of bodging and i have made a 206 tailgate seal fit on the bottom half hours later with the hose pipe and im getting no water into boot

other leak was the homemade membrane gave in the bottom left corner as you look at it so took it all off tigar sealed again and seams to be holding again now

ok this might help you regarding the door seal, where the seal ends meet at the bottom, make sure there is a slight gap about 3mm will be enough, this should allow the water running down the seal exit outside. it worked for me
