Been discussed before I'm sure but being new to Land Rovers I thought I could do with some advice.

I've asked around about the pros and cons of mounting the spare on the bonnet/hood and views are about 50/50

I think it looks better on the bonnet/hood on a 110 than on the back door, it makes access to the back easier as well cause I've got a swing away carrier and its a pain having to get out and open the back door to let dorris out.

The spare is a 235 so a bit thicker than normal/standard tyres.
My friend with his 90 says it's Ok as you just get used to it, so which way to go?

I would put bonnet straps on and gas struts to aid opening the bonnet as it's a regular sort of daily thing with a Land Rover I'm told:D

That's one not sure
one don't know
and one put it in the back
not looking good for on the bonnet then so why do lots of peeps have it there then...eh....eh

Lay a piece of carpet on the bonnet.
Rest the wheel on the carpet.
Get in and see if you can live with it.
Goes without saying dont drive around like this.
If yes then mount it.
If no then dont.
Sounds like a plan but what's the carpet for and will any carpet do .?

so ya dont bollox ya paint wuk!
It's a land rover:rolleyes:

Thought it may be to space the wheel up a bit as there would be no bracket on the trial run:doh:

Paint not a problem as it's an old one and I'm not too worried at the moment, might be after it's painted:)
