Disco 1 Bonnet hinges

Bonnet hinges have been eaten by tin worms. Is it a really big job to rectify? What's easiest/ best way to tackle it?

Take 'em off, wire brush on a grinder, prime, paint, replace.

The bulkhead is the problem not the hinges. It's getting access to it that puzzles me.

Had to do one side on mine.

Bonnet off.
Wiper blades off.
Big nut on wiper blade off.
The plastic thing that the big nut holds on needs to come .off. ... It's in 3 sections.. 2 end bolts and a middle bolt, and 2 plastic rivitty things.

And you should get a bit more access to the rot.

I knackered the tork bolts gettin hing off and had to get some new ones.

Thanks, Chris. That's more or less what I'm looking at. I'll need someone to weld it but I'll be able to prepare it beforehand.
