has anybody got any idea of what to use on the steering box bolt on a discovery 1????its seized like all of them are!!

heat it up and then throw cold water on it, try and crack the rust.

Could take a grinder to the bolt heads, slide it sideways outa chassis and work on at a more comfortable location. once outa the chassis would be easier to flog the crap outa the bolts to shockem out of casting.

might sound silly but can you tighten a little bit then to break the seal then undo, or heat up the heads then while still hot put a thin socket on or a 19mm spanner doubled for more leverage, dont bother with open ended it you can get away with it use rings, or get hot and hit it, try these and it should come undone

Plus Gas instead of the warm oil. its thinner and penetrates better.

GT85 is good,aint seen plus gas fer years.
there is some silicone penetrateing oils on the market too now,use em on siezed carbon fiber parts cos oil swells up carbon nice....
