Hi all

Just took the disco out on its first long trim to malvern and back (about 120 miles) on the way down the M5 temp was running around half way on the gauge on the way back it got up to 3/4 got home and it has boiled itself dry? Cant see any water leaks or any sign of water on the tail pipe.

Any idea's

Cheers

James

Assuming it drove home it didn't boil dry or it would have seized.

Which model Disco / engine is it?

Sounds like it emptied the header tank, but you'll need to find out why damn quick.

200tdi

Have re filled it.

it looks like the rad has gone. have water splatter behind the grill and the small vain's are all dissolving between the water channels.

any one know of some one who can re core or exchange rads in the midlands area (on a budget)

Lucky boy!

Don't try that trick again I say!

Re-Core might cost as much as a new radiator, but you could be a lot more sure of a good one compared to twenty quid from Ebay.
