Hi all,

I have a 2005 90 which I bought in August last year in extremely good condition. Sadly, due to the winter that we are just emerging from I now have a few rust issues, which now need attention. Obviously, none of it is major, just cosmetic, but I'd like to get it sorted out. When I bought it, there was some paint bubbling on the capping piece around the rear tub above the rear lights. A piece of paint has now flaked away, exposing the rusting metal underneath. I'm hoping to find someone who has some experience of this sort of thing locally (York / Malton / Scarborough area). I presume it will need taking back to bare metal and then re-spraying, is there some sort of rust-proof primer that could be used to stop the same thing just happening again?

Rear crossmember is just starting to show the usual rust spots as well, particularly the bolt heads on the crossmember and the tow hitch. Any advice on the best way of tackling this also appreciated.

I'm thinking that a waxoyl is pretty high up on the list of jobs for the next couple of months, but don't fancy doing it myself. I've been advised that I should take it to someone who can fully steam clean it and has drying facilities in order to get the best end result, but haven't found anyone locally who can do this, so, again, any suggestions appreciated!

Cheers!
