Blown 10p: Oil pump drive !!!!!!!!!!!

Hello again out there.
Discovery TD5 2000 W. Broken oil pump drive bolt results in minced crank.
Have sourced local vehicle dismantle companies and all report a lack of 10p engines. I can put my hands on a 15p engine,so my question is,are there any major differences that would stop me using the newer engine. Will all the electronics be compatable.? Thanks for any help

I'd say pay the extra 5p and get the newer engine . ��lol

Have found Td5 engine in 52 plate defender which is the 15 p engine. Will this engine be compatible with w plate disco. Will i need ecu from defender?

yes you'll need the matching engine ECU.

10P engines use a MWM (?) ecu whereas 15P engines use the NNN ecu.
