I'd take your manuel back, as a small spanish waiter is obviously no good, and you should have a manual instead.
Were you to have a manual instead of a manuel, you could turn to either page 27 in one version of the manual, or page 31 in a different version of the manual and read the following passage:
"...When the battery needs replacing, it will be apparent from the following symptoms:
- A gradual deterioration in range and performance
- The alarm buzzer and the anti-theft alarm indicator light will double bleep/flash every second for ten seconds , after the alarm is disarmed and the driver's door is opened"
