Re: poor brakes Pt 2
Hi

I have now converted 200tdi calipers to fit my 3oo tdi with new flexi's/pipes and a couple of T pieces. + disc and pads (just don't ask!)

I now have brakes that actually stop the vehicle rather than just slow it down.

However ! I have a spongy pedal that pumps up ! I have bled the buggers numerous times and there is no air in the system as far as I can tell (but there must be).

I bled all the nipples individually + the bottom 2 together

Any suggestions ? I can;t think of how I could have got air into the rear system

Ian

check reservoir when pedal is pumped does the fluid splash ,is there a black deposit in the bottom, m/c is 2 pumps in one its possible to have poor rears and good fronts

Hi Jamesmartin.

when the pedal is pumped you can see the fluid pumping back into the res, which also has a small amount of black deposit in the bottom
thanks
