Well changed my slave cyclinder and I'm proper fecked off, twas all going well then just as I was starting to feel smug it went to rat****.........

What appened woz:

1) Fitted new cylinder (old was proper knackered)
2) Jacked up the front
3) Used fancy new one man bleed kit(not that impressed uses tyre pressure to bleed, pressure forced fluid out from master cylinder lid!)
4) Two strokes of the pedal and it goes solid will move about an inch
5) I thinks must be the pushrod come away from the arm or summink so take the slave off and have a fiddle seemed like it was ok but while I fiddled plastic clip that hold the pushrod on comes away from arm!!!!!!!
6) Spend hours feckin around breaking two clips (Got spares just in case) finally get it back in with the help of some repair putty to hold the rather floppy clip in place.
7)Bleed as above backto square one pedal solid!!!!!!

So what I have gone an done?
The pivot arm seems awful floppy should it be, can I have dislodged it so the pushrod just hits it hence the lack of pedal movement?
I bloody hope I aint:(

Could it be top end, pedal come away from master cyclinder mechanism and jammin up?

Elp I'm stumped

Looks like it's definatley something to do with the pivot arm/pushrod, as pedal moves freely when the slave is disconnected..........
Can't see how or why the pivot may have been dislodged, may have to be a tow the local Landy Man as I int avin the gearbox out meself:(

sorry, I can't advise on yer problem - I've never done a landy clutch - but if it turns out to be a gearbox out jobby, you might as well stick a new clutch in there while you're at it.

Cheers Mr Worgey, I only had a new clutch a couple of months ago
Had the master done at the same time, slave went shortly after have been toppin it up for a while but decided to bite the bullet and change it.
Read a few posts that mentioned the plastic clip being an arse so i got a couple o spares, but didn't anticicpate this @&*$*^*

i use a small piece of 10 mil copper pipe to hold the clip in place while i fit it.
i had the same problem only it was intermittant. a slipper had come away from its seat on the clutch fork and had got stuck jamming it.

if you have just had the clutch done , put it all back together and get on the blower to the people who fitted it , get on their case saying things like ''you fitted it wrong , its broke because of you'' etc etc.
you never know.

Well jus had the RAC blerk round to confirm what I already new!!!
The release arm has come adrift.....
So I now have to get recovered to the garage that fitted the clutch and new reinforced release arm.
I spose I have a reasonable case for asking them to sort it out.
Is it likely that I dislodged it when fitting the new slave?
Or is it more likely it wasn't fitted right in the first place even though it has worked ok for a couple of months?
