Well, having just had a completely useless experience on a certain Facebook page purporting to have "Moderators" (the latter clearly don't er, well, moderate) I am hoping you guys can help restore some faith......! <FFS!>

My 2001 TD5 Auto has developed a clunk when bounce the front suspension up n down(?) Can hear it too when I'm driving and turn steering but NOT when vehicle is stationary and turn the wheel.

Any ideas welcomed?

Cheers!

Drop links ?

Thanks, but up until a few months ago the years I'd spent on mechanics was limited to vehicles with two wheels less than my Disco.

So as much as I am really enjoying learning, I need a little more info if poss, I'm more than prepared to get stuck in once I know what to look for?

Cheers...

Stuff to do with anti roll bar.
But frankly, it could be spring mount, engine bearer, any ball joint, AR mount, a problem with the ACE ram, shock mounts and/or steering components.
You just need to take a pry bar and pry around all joints. to make it easier you could put a jack under the chassis and take some of the weight off the suspenders.
You may even see a yawning gap!

Yeah, this. I'd definitely be looking at the shocks.
