Looking for a new set of shocks and I have heard that the Bilstein B6 Yellows are not that. Any opinions?

I've got Terra Firma on mine and it is definitely a harsher ride although the steering does feel more precise.

I've seriously considered just ditching mine and putting Boge on. Much better ride in my opinion from the cars I've been in with them fitted.

You are right there Littelwill, I should have stated my intentions. I do a lot of city and highway runs, but I also tend to go to the extreme when the mack ends. So I am looking for something which can cope well on either surfaces.
I was looking at the Terrafirma ones, but a couple of friends turned their noses up at them. I then looked at the Koni Heavy Track, but their price......
I also was told to look at those orange things #$itpart do, but as they are #$itpart the alarms started ringing.
I should also point out that I am going to upgrade the air bag to Gen II (2's) and I am going to fit the Dynamic' Orange Polybushes too.

OEM parts. Boge shockers and rubber bushes are the way to go...
I've build/modified raced and trialled land rovers before, the P38 is as near perfect as you can get on standard suspension...imho,
And keep the air suspension as well.....

Oh I intend keeping her on air bags.
Why the anti Polybushes? I have not heard anyone downing them. As for #$itpart shockers, nowt #$itpart for me.
When you say Boge shockers, any idea to which ones, and which would be the best place to get them from over in the UK?

Ive fitted Boge to mine and its great like Bikerteacherdave said they have lasted 14 years on mine so thats pretty good going...

Fitted Terrafirma about 12000 miles ago, 1 failed after about 5300 miles. road use only.
They seemed pretty harsh but the edge is off them now after 12k.
The general consensus is fit the original Boge, I wish I had done so.

Ok then, stick with the Boges is it. Thanks for all the advise regarding the shocks.
Now, as before, what is it about these polyurethane thingies?
I hear some saying they are better to have instead of the original rubber ones and yet some say stick with the originals. The problem I find is that over here with our weather, the rubber ones seem so suffer much quicker.

I have been looking at poly bushes myself, after much googling and reading various opinions, I will go with original rubber bushes mixed with Polybush's blue bushes for the sway bar. I am about to fit Gen 111 airbags and will report my findings once fitted.

I think Datatek made a comment about the Gen IIIs once. Think he said the only major difference was extra articulation and not worth the extra cash?

Yes, I think you are right. In fact, if I am not wrong, it was in a thread where I was talking about fitting the Gen IIIs and becaue of what was said I have gone and chosen the Gen IIs instead.

I decided to buy Gen III Arnotts because every single person I read about that had actually fitted them, described the on road handling was noticeably improved, I am much more interested in the on road handling than the extra off road height as my P38 will spend 98% of it's time on road.
The springs make a huge difference to on road handling, just think back to the original RR with its super soft springs (the rear held up by a Borg self leveller), they would roll at the mere thought of a corner, Arnotts Gen III use the same design as the later Generation RR springs, so I am hoping the general ride quality will be an improvement, but only time will tell.
Whether they are worth the huge difference in price...each to their own.

Complete and utter waste of money on a road vehicle. Standard Dunlops do the job fine.

Why would i fit something and pay through the nose, that is not required. Do you also have a pair of solid Platinum eyebrow tweezers?
