Big wheels..but how big?

Hello,

I'm lookin to put some big wheels/tyres on my 300Tdi.
I have +2 suspension (though the rear actually measures +3 compared to my dads standard disco!) and wheels are next up!

Trouble is i dunno what size i want. I love this kinda thing..

(not my motor!)

But what size are they?

I'm not fussy about alloys..though they look great..they also cost shed loads. Another consideration is the spare...with wheels this size..will it still fit the back door (is it strong enough?) Bracket mods or longer bolts is no hardship.

If anyone can help..or even has a vehicle with similar spec wheels..I'd be grateful. Also any drawbacks..bearing wear..turning circle etc?

Cool..nice motor. Series2 wheels wont fit without spacers though. I'm not bothered bout OE wheels..more like tha photo above i'm game for.
