My noo torx bolts also arrived today , so they got a coat too.

Cut bigger hole in side and noticed this .....

So whipped out pub to look for dry joints stopping rear windows working.....

Photos of PCb later.....

thanks tpress.

I'm a bit slow doing the work. knackered back don't help !!!

but I'm starting to 'enjoy' things now, as the repairs are starting to progress.

still a long way to go though. :(

great thread!!

in the process of doing my inner wings at the moment.
what you going to replace the wings with? I've been looking round and froggatts in Macclesfield do a full wing for around £200 tempted but not sure of the extent of damage yet just up to stripping of the existing wings, drivers side first for me.

keep the pics coming and good luck!!

Hi Ant.

I'll be using Froggarts. I used them when I replaced the drivers side inner wing last year.
Good, well made products. And if you buy the ready assembled one, it slots straight in.

Not much done today........

Cleaned up this hole a bit ....

And made a 'man size' template .... Lol

Buggered up the line on top..... Needs to be 10mm higher on left.

Question time re bump stops.

Should the front bump stops be the rectangle type or the pointy type as shown ??

I got the pointy type for the rear, anr2991, coz the mot man told me to..

But according to paddocks the front should be anr4188. Rectangle ones.

Any ideas, or dunt it matter.

Big patch made ready for welding .....

Dremelled out smaller hole and made patch......

Dunno if welding tomorrow.......depends on weather.

................and run out of gas !!!

off to local GMF for replacement, and they didn't have any. will get me one for tomorrow morning.....

so, no welding today. :(

so I tidied up hole at top of footwell. made a patch ready to fit tomorrow as well....if gas turns up .

no photos ......... left my phone at home.

will post piccies and progress tomorrow. :)

also put new wheels on welding cart, as the others had collapsed under the weight !!!

Well, best laid plans and all that ......

Went to pick up gas.......no gas. Nobs delivered it to the wrong branch ....... Told to call back after 2.00pm. Grrrrr

Then had to drop Mrs off at funeral at 2.00

Eventually got gas at 3.30pm ....... Pulled my back getting bottle out of car boot . :(

So nothing done today, except a bit more fettling on repair patch.

Thanks puddlejumper glad you like it :)

Thought I'd weld the hard bit first.....

Not the best bit of welding, but in my defence, it was mostly left handed !!!

Still, it passed the hammer test. :)

That's it for today.

More tomorrow if weathers good.
