Big Problems

Thanks for all the help and kind offers! (Boydy1989 and Odenne) I have a head gasket on order (it's cheap enough), ready to pick up on Friday along with a few other bits and bobs, so there's no problem there. I don't really need any other parts than that, just a few bits of emory cloth which my Dad is going to get me from work!

Should have it back to usual over the weekend (touch wood).

I will have to get used to the gearbox (thanks for the tips Odenne), but I will sort it or replace it and the clutch over the Summer holidays.

Thanks again

ere Sean - wots the HD130?

an is it worth welding up the clutch release arm if takin the Gbox out?

HD 130 is my shorthand for a heavy duty clutch intended for the 130

and it's well worth welding yer arm, specially if it's a non-orginal part thats getting on a bit - i've not seen any orginal arms that have failed but they were made out of much thicker material

Well, the third NAD is in my landy now and apparently running well... POS (or anyone else in fact) if you are sure you don't need any major engine parts im weighing the old one in tomorrow. I've removed most bits you can, injection pump, lift pump, alternator, starter, water pump, etc. New engine is good too, must avoid that water this time...

You'd be daft not to keep your alternator, starter, fuel and lift pumps as spares for your engine yourself, because they'll surely come in handy for something! How much do you reckon you'll fetch for the engine in scrap?

yeah i will keep most of it as spares, but i now have 3 almost complete engines, 2 of which came with extra spares anyway... i should start a 12j spares dealership.
i know a bloke who got £93 for a complete 12j for scrap, but i shall let you know tomorrow what i get!
