Dean he is just a scroat who gets his kicks by causing as much trouble as possible. Take no notice of the plank.

Where as you suffer from pmt and a large wooden spoon- you still sore or have you calmed down now

No problem....stop butting in and antagonising folks.
It's just a bit of a laugh and a wind up, don't be dishing it out if you get upset when a little comes back at yeh:)

This is low level is not a wind up. You have gone too far this time.
Banter on here is the norm but you go too far looking for a reaction.

As I said I do not believe that you got 91hp increase out of engine using standard fuelling system-In fact I would go as far as saying some of you claims are completely beyond belief.

18hp from an oil change-taking the ****ing ****.

Come back with a proper dyno read out and list of what you did and it may be believable.

if it was a 330d with chipping then yes, but an m51 I seriously doubt it

I agree. Oil changes in difs, gearboxs and engines, even if all done at the same time with quality lube tend to liberate no more than 5 or 6 horses tops unless the oil was ancient or contaminated. The only time I have seen something similar to the figures claimed here was when new gearbox oil helped to mask a power sapping fault with the gearbox. It soon came back as the oil got older though.

I also would like to see the dyno chart for the 225 bhp!!! A near 100hp gain would require some serious work and big cash. Not too mention uprating the whole fuel system to cope with demand. The cooling system as std , would not be able to cope with the extra heat produced either in my opinion. Sound like BS to me until I see otherwise.

Not saying its impossible....just unlikely!:)

Oh and a note to the op. I dont have an answer to your problem (at least nothing to what has been said above) so good luck sorting it!!

And its caravan salesman to you others!!!!

Thanks for such kind words, coming from a **** stirer of your calibre i take them as a compliment.:D:D:D

Why thank you, nice to see you haven't suffered permanent sense of humour failure.mM

No my sense of humour is alive and well thank you. But we do seem to have had an influx of amoebas lately. Maybe there has been another care in the community release for Christmas.

Fodder- I seem to remember last christmas was wind up the idiot on several occasions

Who said it was an M51, there are a lot more BMW 6 cylinder diesels than that one, would you have thought it logical to have had an escort vehicle that can`t keep up with the vehicle its escorting? Like I said, drive up the road and look, its about ten miles from you...........................

Firstly apologies for the possible Hi-Jack...

Traveller: I'm going to take a different stand to others. I'm genuinely interested in what you had to start with (if not an M51 engine) and what work you have done (with costs if you have them) so I can learn how things are done.

To quote a well known film line "Speed is a matter if money..." so my question really stands at how much has it cost you to get such a BHP figure.

I'd be interested to learn how you achieved it and more importantly what has been done to ensure that the set-up is stable and just doesn't go pop after 12months of motoring. After all a Dybo test is one thing... but is it stable and usable.

In order not to hijack the thread - could you start a new one detailing your upgrades?

Think there maybe a little more to it than just a bigger engine. Lots of power is one thing getting a diesel P38 to do 136 mph without changing the gearbox ratios is quite another.

I'm not too far from you so would be interested too

Ill humour you PM me an address when passing I'll look, so what engine are you suggesting it uses. But I still want a dyno print out.
