Hope thats the problem, have you checked your exhaust emissions for unburned fuel, drastic loss of economy is usually a leak or injectors needing an overhaul. Also getting fed up with childish pratts hijacking threads with no thought of helping with a problem, am a member of POCUK and you just don't get this crap, thought a forum was to help each other and rip the hell out of each other for any mods made. Not going to lower myself but guess where your V8 should go.
Let us know how you get on after you sort the leak
Davie

If you hate it so much, close the door behind you.

Never said I hated it but mindless drivel does nothing for anybody, but I suppose if you have not a clue or can't help you might aswell post a heap of crap thats got nothing to do with the subject in hand. The reason I'm a member is that I might be able to help someone out or I might get help. Thank goodness that there are some on here that thinks the same, tell me what the hell has the performance of a petrol v8 got to do with anything on a diesel thread. The brat brigade can now start thier drivel.
Davie (by the way you can tell me to **** off as much as you like children)

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, yours is ****, in your words, find me a smoother 225hp diesel and i`ll buy it.

Your joking right? 225 hp more like 134-138bhp standard and 165bhp mapped diesel

Nope, 225, at the flywheel, as calculated by rolling road operator. the bottom end was built by me and the top by an F1 guy who owed me a favour, hence titanium bits.Incidentally, we gained 18hp at the wheels by changing to synthetic oils in box and axles, something to be learnt there!
To try and help original poster, a leaking return pipe can dump a hell of a lot of fuel from an innocuous leak. Other posts cover the hot-start fix but the cheap ones try to fool the ECU all the time, rather than the ones with a timer.Hot-start fixes are to overcome electrical link problems from no4 injector to the ECU, via the fuse box, ring a bell?!

So where's the dyno read out then as it sounds like complete BS so far as a 91hp gain.

Its not a debate I`me getting into, but the best Sat-nav read out was 136mph, using a LOT of road into Taunton, redneck, come and look! Only four P38`s of this type were built, they all went to presidential escort, abroad.

As I said I do not believe that you got 91hp increase out of engine using standard fuelling system-In fact I would go as far as saying some of you claims are completely beyond belief.

18hp from an oil change-taking the ****ing ****.

Come back with a proper dyno read out and list of what you did and it may be believable.

if it was a 330d with chipping then yes, but an m51 I seriously doubt it
