as in the title, best place to get one from, pref wolverhampton area, Cradd**ks want £73 .........

Pretty much any local stockist should be able to get you one, the Timax number (which most use) is LR197H. I have just got one, it cost me aound £25

i got the de cat pipe and egr removal from fleabay for about £25 delivered, fitted the pipe today, note, the holes need drilling .5m bigger (or at least these did) may need to gring abot of the weld away where it fits manifold for the nut to be refit (i had to make some washers up to fit it as its a tiight fit.

There's not much point in doing this because it won't pass an MOT when the new MOT rules come into force next year...

Could you elaborate further? I was about to de-cat my 300tdi but obviously I don't want to make it unMOTable.

I havent had anything here to suggest that there is anything coming in regarding exhaust emissions on pre-2000 diesels, newer ones have got to meet euro3 standards but not older ones...

Every make of exhaust is slightly different, we always get ones that need tweaking, cheap ones will generally be Euroflo, they are not as well made and often dont fit first time, better exhausts will fit but will obviously cost more...

ye i wasnty expecting it to fit straight n at the cost but as i said i only had to re drill holes by .5mm and went on then not too bad.

so is it worth me keeping the cat for next years mot? or will i not need it?

Personally I would keep it as its pretty worthless, the cat doesnt control emissions like a petrol car it just helps reduce smoke, there are other ways you can do this though so its really not needed but like I say it doesnt hurt to keep it as a spare pipe, if you resell its something to throw in with it...
