Best Glow Plugs for 200TDI

Hi All,

recently replaced injectors after a refurb, going to do the glowplugs next as I'm in there, then everything is done at the same time. I was going to go with Turner Engineering, they stock Behru OEM @ about £52 all in with the vat or I can get some genuine Bosch ones for £37 all in. I would be inclined to go with Turner as they specialise in rebuilds, but I would have thought Bosch is best to go with?

What have others used and recommend?

No need to buy mega expensive ones they dont generally need them unless its mega cold.

Cheapest ones money can buy in both my 200s, 12 quid for 4 rings a bell?

Edit just looked and they are now 10 quid for four!
Cheap to buy.
Proper easy to fit.
Been in both cars for well over 5/6 years now, and still work.

Bosch or Beru are both equally good, same with Turner's as a highly reputable supplier. You may like to search for lower pricing but be wary of fake Bosch/Beru copies.

As above some engines need decent glow plugs but the 200tdi isnt one of them. Cheap ones with a tiny dab of anti-seize would be my choice

Mine aren't even hooked up to any power. Nor on my last 200Tdi (was in a Series) and that one would start fine in minus 5 degrees.

Whilst it is true that a 200 will start in pretty much any weather conditions, you will a make life easier if you have working plugs.

There's a reason why Land Rover designed-in the use of a glow plug per cylinder
