Anybody any suggestions for coating inner wheel arch? I'm rebuilding front of my 90 and want to coat these up before fitting. Suggestions so far are,

underseal..
Shutz..need a spraygun.
Brushable seam sealer..could work, anyone tried it?

I've already coated up with Galvafroid.

Any input welcome.

cheers all.

I'd suggest painting it first and then coating it with 'stone chip' which is a cross between rubber and waxoil. It comes in an aerosol can but i dont know how much it'll cost you, I believe its quite expensive stuff.

what have you "coated up with Galvafroid" ?

The road exposed face of the galvanised inner wing. Galvanising is broken in areas and rust is starting. Want to deal with it sooner rather than later.

Stone Chip sounds good POS.

is it defiantly galvanized ?

if you haven't got a air supply try one of these - you'll probably only get a few years use out of it before it gets broken lost or blocked, but it's cheap and works very well with the large tins of Waxoyl

Waxoyl Jumbo Sprayer (Plus Extension Probe) on eBay (end time 24-Jun-10 08:43:12 BST)

It is mate. Think av got one of them somewhere after i waxoiled my Disco. U think a good coat of Waxoil on top of the Galvi primer will do then? I had thought of that, but didn't think it would stand up to the road grit??
