Hey Spyderman,

OK done my radiator, been on to the council, they say that the lane in Harlington will be opened in May, (basically next week) they also say the lane in Sundon Park is open and completly legal to do so I will have a go later tonight. Im sure its just around the perimeter of the farmers field.

Are you still up for laning tomorrow? Where abouts do you want to meet? time ect? Jai.

Jai,
Good afternoon's laning yesterday. must sort a date to go up around Santa Pod. Anybody else fancy going?

Sunday was fun. Pitty dead womans lane was closed I have been told its a good-un. I will get the lanes recorded asap. I'm definatly up for doing some lanes around Santa Pod apparently they are quite testing! If we can get a small group it would be a challenge.

Still working on having a small meeting/gathering at a local public house, once a month in Luton for some landy/offroad enthuisasts, I think it would benifit all that turn up, even if it is just to check if a lane is legal or open, ect.

Jai.

Jai,
Think there is a Pub meet at Fancott Arms, Charlton/Toddington last Thursday of the month. Never been but worth a go.
Am planning to go to Whaddon this Sunday if anyboby fancies going.
if the weather is good, might go to Santa Pod for drag racing over the weekend, will see if lanes are open at the same time.

Hey Spyderman,

Just got my new map out, done five or six lanes today after work, basically wot we did the othher day. I even had a go at dead womans lane until the bollards at each end. I know I can get between the gaps but that would be completly illegal and not worth the nick! I will try some other lanes possibly Friday I think mabe that one near Milbrook, work my way up to Poddington where the lanes get good. All the best Jai.

Green lanes refer to the way our "Byways open to all traffic" appear on the Ordnance Survey maps of the UK.

I live in Keysoe. I looked at the link to the greenlaning website but was a bit confused. The column for banned lanes has three columns and most of them have different answers in them. Is it a column for each year? I just go down lanes that have the gate open.
Tom.

Did the lanes around Grafham Water and Santa Pod on Sunday with Jai and 5 others. Had a great day. Santa Pod lanes are superb, will be back, but not alone. Any takers?

I'm going down the Santa Pod byway on Saturday 26th - going alone in 110 - not done it this year so hope it's passable - was OK last year. Happy if anyone wants 2 tag along. I'll be there at 9:30 ish from the A6 end.

Hi. Got down it without any problems. Some deep ruts in places and a big water hole (can avoid). Nice gloopy mud - plenty of grip. Could get tricky with all the rain though! Still my #1 byway! Also found a nice byway from Ashwell Herts, nice to walk the dog but not challenging.

Hey Spydrman,

Got my front pads in finally, will be comming tomorrow minus a roof! How are we getting there? I would think the A6 mabe seems sensible due to the speed of our motors, I dunno. Great weekend with all of the motors last time. I wanna try that bomb hole in 1st/2nd low range see if I can crawl through it really slow make is look real easy. Hopefully no punctures this time!

Til Tomorrow 9.30am, Jai

Jai,
Yep, 9.30am. Tiki Al is coming too. A6 seems like the best way to go. They've filled the bomb hole especially for you.

Good day out Sunday, the lane in Harlington had me sweating! All good fun though! Really glad my winch anchor worked! Otherwise we would have had a mile long rope to the nearest tree! Well I had lots of fun! Jai.

Jai,
I think banning the farmers tractor from that lane would be a good idea. The ruts are so deep from the tractor tyres, it's making it undrivable. The council will probably blame 4x4 drivers.

Yea I think I may go up there take some piccies and put together a small document just incase they actually try and close it. So that I can provide evidence that it was caused by the farmers tractor opposed to 4X4's just as a contingency plan, just in case.

p.s. whats the other forum?

mud-club??

Jai
