Hello

Not sure if it's a BECM fault but all points in that direction.
When I flash the lights, stereo turns off, the speed pointer fall for a moment and the dashboard lights dimms.

Not the alternator, that's for sure (my mechanich assured me).

Here in Portugal i believe no one repairs becm units, but i found a coulpe of shops there in UK.
Could anyone point out one?

Most appreciate
João

(its a P38 2.5DSE, 1998. BeCM High-Line)

The BECM has no connection to the stereo. I would suggest either a bad earth or a problem with the fuse box or battery connections. An internal short in the BECM that would cause such a volt drop would either blow a fuse or burn.

Check that your headlight bulbs are the correct wattage. I've known weird issues like this with the surge from HID aftermarket kits fitted so I suppose you could get the same from rally power bulbs.

Yep, it seems its a bad ground.
Headlight bulbs are the correct wattage. I've noticed, at night, the headlights sometimes dimms..noticed that when stoped at the traffic lights.

Where can i find some kind of map of the grouns points in the P38?
(rave just shows pictures of the locations...not a general view..)

RAVE shows everything, the trick is finding the information that you need:)
