Bearings on front propshaft on td5 disco

Hi all i have done a search on this but haven't quite found the answers that i'm after. so here we go, i have a 1999 td5 disco and have noticed that the UJ bearings have gone on the front propshaft, i can wobble the whole joint around by hand. and can feel a vibration from the floor while driving (it's the end nearest the main gear box and not the axle) i've spoken to my nearest main dearler and the guys at famous four and both of them are saying the you can't replace the Uj bearings on the offending end and will have to change the whole propshaft at £155+vat which i'm trying to avoid so has any body changed these parts with sucess?
