I've ordered rear diff bearings and received 2 different sizes but my bearings are both the same size ( the larger of the 2) when googling all the kits seem to have 1 large 1 small.
And ideas as to why mine would both be the same size?

Some idea of model & year of the vehicle you're talking about would help - even in the relevant forum.

Sorry Ratae,

1990 110 Defender, been stored for 3 years so giving it a bit of a full going over, both bearings fairly loose so ordered a pair based on year and model but got 1 small 1 large. Can't seem to find on google any that have the 2 large bearing like mine.

Thank you

That's funny. I've had a number of Land Rover axles apart over the years, from a Series 2 to a 2006 Defender and the bearings holding the diff mechanism are both the same size. Large-ish tapered roller races. Indeed, last time I bought some they had the same part number so they must be the same. Could it be a bearing kit for something else?
I should add that I haven't had a Salisbury axle so I don't know what they have. Mine have been Rover type or ENV.

the pinion bearings are two different sizes, diff carrier bearings the same size(607187 for salisbury axle),but its not clear how you know which bearings are loose
