Hi all! Is there any way of finding out my BCU part number without being near the vehicle? It's a '99 T Reg TD5 and I am trying to replace the BCU.

Long story cut short, lost my keys, had a replacement key cut, the EKA code supplied by Land Rover keeps beeping just once to say it hasn't worked. I'm thinking of replacing the BCU with a BCU and fob already paired, I have access to a hawkeye to program the other parts, unless anyone knows of a different work around?

Hi, what's "T reg" out of interest?

anyway, being from '99 your's should have the YWC106350 as original in it but it doesnt matter too much cos it's completely programmable so others would work as well

the EKA is changeable too so maybe it's changed or the BCU is not the original... at least remember well the one from the new one;)

T reg meaning that the registration starts with a "T"!

I've got a replacement BCU with a fob programmed to it coming on Thursday so hopefully installing that will resolve the issue!

the procedure is at follows:
-disconnect the battery,
-swap the BCUs,
-connect battery, -
-put ignition on II and leave it so 5 minutes,
-connect hawkeye, go in EMS - programming- immobiliser, confirm to make the ECU learn the security code
-go in BCU - programming and set the BCU step by step to fit your car which means the transmission manual or auto, driver demand 2 or 3 tracks, etc
-set the alarm to "always disarm with key", at the end prompt yes

job done
