Hi the BCU failed on my 1999 disco 2 .
I sent the ecu away to get immobiliser taken off.
It worked a treet now she can star but the only problem I have now is
How can I disable the alarm I have removed the siren but hazards still flashing ..
Seen as this is a common problem I am hoping sum one can point me in the right direction thank you

It's can't disabled unless you have access to Testbook or similar, but it can be unset by pressing the unlock button on the fob.

If it can't unset with the fob then you have a problem, such as a faulty fob or receiver or BCU. :(

Yes the BCU has failed and it is not picking up the key .
That's y I got it remapped to bypass the immobiliser .
What I need to know now is how to stop the alarm or stop the hasord lights from flashing as I have disconnected the alarm siren .
Their must b sum wires sum where that I can cut or earth or a feues I can take out .
I have tryed removing the 2 relays for indicator lights but I have no indicators then so that's not an option

1.Yes the BCU has failed and it is not picking up the key .
which means 90% that not the BCU but the receiver has failed:cool:

it seems that you-ve made the worst choice ...you should have better fixed/replaced the BCU...if that was really at fault and not the receiver if the only problem was that it didnt respond to the fob
Their must b sum wires sum where that I can cut or earth or a feues I can take out .
there might be a solution but you will not have hazard lights at all then , not even when you want them

find somebody with nanocom or similar and disable the hazard flashing option in the alarm section of BCU...that's the cleanest thing you cand do in that dirty job you did.

or find out the EKA code at a dealer and introduce it as in the protocol.

Problem may not be the BCU but water in the fuse box. Take the fuse box out under the steerin wheel. Take the back off and you will probably find that the circuit board is corroded.
Replace the fuse box and then find out where the water is getting in.
I've done the first on mine. Now I've got to sort out the water leak
