Looking for a new battery for this 300tdi of mine currently.

Best I have found online so far is a 72AH with 660CCA. Is this a decent enough number of CCA or should I be looking for bigger numbers?

Oh and also has anyone got some close to biggest possible battery size measurements? Incase I end up walking down the tractor place.

Are leisure batteries ok to use?

I would of thought that they are more for slow constant current rather than large heavy bursts of?

That's a Marine Battery designed to crank a boats engines over and resist deep cycling. a Sort of midway point between automotive and leisure batteries.

Ah, it had an 069 on it when I got it. Was told that the 072 would be bigger and much better.

Ordered one of these numax jobbies now anyway so lets see how that goes.

CCA is a bit less in a 069 that's what I had in my RRC.
Anyway come back and let us know what u think of the Numax as I may be getting one soon as my present Halfords battery is now 8 years & 1 month old so one morning soon I'm not going to be able to start. :)

I have the big Halfords 4 yr gaurentee one on mine, I have a trade card so it was about £60 rather than the £97 price tag!

If anyone is after one in the West Yorkshire area then I would be happy fot them to use my card. Saves a fortune for a whole host of things such as tools and other misc parts. Copper Grease has been my bigest shock so far think it was a 80% discount or more!
